Navigator Executive Advisors Names Leon Lachance Director of Operations

Oct. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- ORLANDO, FL – Orlando-based Navigator Executive Advisors, one of the country’s fastest-growing career services and outplacement firms, has named longtime Human Resources management executive and leadership development consultant Leon Lachance, SPHR, as Director of Operations.
   Lachance, whose 18-year career includes both senior level management and various consulting positions with several of the world’s largest and most prestigious companies, will be responsible for the day-to-day management operations of both Navigator Executive Advisors (www.navexec.com) and its fast-emerging sister company Navigator Institute, says President and CEO Matt Durfee in announcing the appointment.
   Before joining the Navigator team, Lachance spent the past two-plus years as an independent HR Consultant partnering with such industry giants as Walt Disney Company, Coca-Cola, Verizon, Centex and Wyndham Resorts where he provided strategic recruiting, leadership training/development, executive coaching and policy development and implementation. He also has been a consultant for the University of Central Florida, CHEP USA and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
   Prior to launching his consulting business, Lachance  held management positions with Centex, Walt Disney Company, Fortune 500 mortgage lender Countrywide Home Loans, Empower-U, Inc., a provider of executive leadership training and Development to world-class organizations, and Teletech, Inc., a national provider of customer care outsourcing solutions.
   In addition, Lachance, who holds the professional Society of Human Resources Management certification, also helps prepare candidates earn their National Professional of Human Resources (PHR) certification as an adjunct instructor through the UCF’s School of Continuing Education.
   Durfee, a former HR management executive himself with more than 25 years experience with several major corporations, knew of Lachance’s professional capabilities, having worked with him at Centex when Lachance was the national homebuilder’s Regional Director of Recruiting/HR from 2005 to 2008.

Durfee also expects Lachance to play a significant role in the ongoing operations of Navigator Institute (www.navinstitute.com), a new online company that teaches job search skills to those unemployed or in career transition.
