Jan. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- New Mexico-licensed speech language pathologists have a biennial license renewal with a January 30th deadline. Twenty (20) hours of continuing education is required in order to renew, and all 20 hours can be earned from home study. Continuing education must be in the field of licensure. The board accepts ASHA approval of continuing education hours.

The reasoning behind continuing education is to ensure the highest possible standards for the occupational therapist profession. All licensees are required to participate in continuing educational pursuits that will build upon existing competencies gained from prior educational experiences.  Find out more about available courses: https://www.pdresources.org/profession/index/3
