-- Davidsons, whose traditional style homes have proved popular with buyers, is expanding with its first development in Peterborough. The new development is off Atherstone Avenue in Peterborough and will have a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes. Work on the site will begin in the near future and the first homes will be available in the autumn.
The Leicestershire based home builder has been growing across the East Midlands and is now looking further afield for 2012.
Land Director of Davidsons dkxwr Developments, Sarah Whetton, said “Peterborough offered a good area to expand in, with an opportunity to be on site quite quickly and to build homes with the more traditional styling which we know people like. The development is well located with good commuter links”.
Sarah, who is based at Davidsons Ibstock head office, added “Our expansion programme is to develop in a number of new areas, especially south of Leicester towards Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. At present we are considering all schemes, with or without existing planning permission. Ideal sites would provide us opportunities to build around 40 -70 traditional homes, but we are happy to talk to anyone who has land which they think offers potential.”
