M&A Forum Closes Second Deal In 30 Days

M&A Forum closes second deal in thirty days. The online service demonstrates success at companies meeting online. M&A Forum serves IT companies giving them a tool to search and find each other for an acquisition, sale or merger.

June 9, 2008 - PRLog -- San Ramon, CA: M&A Forum, LLC, (http://www.ma-forum.com), announced its second closed transaction in less than 30 days.  Following on the transaction announced May 12, M&A Forum today announced the acquisition of selected assets of Technical Installation Personnel, LLC, a systems technical services company, by Eagle Family Investments, the parent of several technology products and services companies serving the telecommunications and audio-visual integration sectors.   The parties met on M&A Forum, a web-based M&A service exclusively designed for buyers and sellers of IT companies.  The transaction closed on May 30 and details were not announced.

“We are very excited that M&A Forum has put these companies together,” said Patricia Wegner, president of M&A Forum, LLC.  The parties were both ready to do a deal but had not yet found an ideal match.  The Forum allows IT companies that want to buy a business to easily search, connect and initiate a transaction online.  Our service is global but these companies wound up with a good fit that happened to be in their region.”

“M&A Forum is one of the tools that we use to find acquisition candidates,” stated J.R. Tuggle, Vice President of Eagle Family Investments.  “The online service makes it easy to preview companies and pursue the ones that are a fit.  M&A Forum knew that we were looking for a particular type of company and sent me email notices when likely candidates joined the service.”

“We have built the service to look for targets and notify the buyers when there is a match,” stated Wegner. “We know that most buyers will not spend time browsing websites looking for companies.  We help them define an acquisition target profile and then let the system find the companies.”

“As we implement our strategic plan and acquisitions as a part of that plan, we will continue to use M&A Forum to review candidates,” said Tuggle.  “As long as we can find good companies that fit our requirements, a service like this makes sense for us.”
“Our goal in signing up with M&A Forum was to find a good buyer for our business,” said Mark Folks, CEO of Technical Installation Personnel (TIP).  “The Forum made the process easy and secure.  We had our profile up in just a few days and had found a qualified buyer in our market within the month.”

“We are excited and looking forward to joining the Eagle Family Investments group of technical companies. Eagle brings us a solid foundation for continued growth and has the reach and strength to leverage our skills nationally in the AV Integration Industry.  This transaction will greatly benefit our staff and customers allowing us to pursue new opportunities that we have identified for the business,” stated Folks.

“This transaction is a good addition to our family of companies,” said Tuggle.  “Mark and his team have skills, customer contacts and vendor relationships that complement our current offerings in this segment.  The location and focus of the business fits well with our plans to expand in the Southeast region and provide more services to our valued customers.”
