Feb. 25, 2008 - PRLog -- The Living Longer Forum Series provides critical information, education and insights to help our maturing population age more gracefully, comfortably and securely. These television, seminar and web multimedia presentations are dedicated to serving a group that has traditionally been under served by many media outlets. Baby boomers are swelling the portion of our 55+ population, further emphasizing the need for information about health and wellness; financial options and requirements; safety and support services; and legal and family issues.

This series was born out of a successful seminar in 2007 that serves as its inspiration. The television shows will kick off in March on local stations that will air each program several times a week. Programs will provide insights and information about hospice care, reverse mortgages, Qi Gong for seniors, end-of-life services, the myriad of facilities and services local governments offer and much more.

After the televisions programs are aired, they will be placed on www.LivingLongerForum.info (currently under construction). Some of this information is also planned to be available in a shorter format on Comcast’s “On Demand” Health and Wellness segment, which reaches the entire Bay Area.

On May 8, the series will present a major free seminar from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the beautiful new Lifemark Center at Skylawn Memorial Park, which is located at the intersection of Skyline Boulevard and Route 92 in San Mateo. County Supervisor Jerry Hill will be the keynote speaker, and there will be breakout sessions with experts in 10 pertinent subject areas. This seminar is particularly valuable for members of our mature citizenry, their families and those interested in understanding the assistance available to seniors. The program will also feature a gourmet luncheon and a refreshing wellness experience. Free shuttle transportation will be provided from various points around the area to shuttle attendees to and from the event.

Please call  or visit www.LivingLongerForum.info to register for the May 8th seminar or for more information about the series. Please register soon, because space is limited.
