A bar association complaint was filed today against Washington Township Solicitor Robert Wright, JrBy: OHanlon Campagin OHanlon called his supposed "friend's" phone number only to find out this was no friend. When Wright was asked why he claimed to be a close friend, he apologized. OHanlon found out that the purpose of his call was to "help" him file an objection to a residency issue claimed by Washington Township Deputy Clerk Barbara Moore. Wright's legal advice included; OHanlon will have 2 weeks to submit his objections and that they would be submitted directly to Wright. This turned out to be completely erroneous. Per New Jersey laws, OHanlon only had 3 days to file his objection, and OHanlon would have to submit these objections to the court, not to Robert Wright. It is OHanlon's opinion that Wright did this in a move to ensure OHanlon wouldn't be on the ballot as the county began immediately printing the ballots on the 3rd day. "I'm not embarrassed that I believed Wright. He holds an esteemed position as the township solicitor, and being an officer of the court," said OHanlon, "I am looking forward to how the New Jersey Bar Association handles this kind of unethical behavior."
