By: Zayed University University of Warsaw was founded in 1816 and since its establishment, it has written numerous glorious pages in its history. It has produced many outstanding scholars and created famous scientific schools. Around five graduates from the University of Warsaw have won five Noble Prize awards. Dr Marilyn Roberts, Acting Provost at Zayed University, Dr Abdel Mohsen Onsy, Associate Provost and Chief Academic Officer, Dr Elsayed Darwish, Acting Director of the Institute for Arabic Language, and Konstantinos Syriopoulos, Acting Dean of the College of Business, welcomed Klaudia Lach, First Counsellor, Head of Political, Economic and Consular Division at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, Janusz Danecki, Professor at the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the University of Warsaw, and Dr Katarzyna Gorak Sosnowska, Assistant Professor at the Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Economic Sociology and Vice Dean for Master's Studies at the Warsaw School of Economics. At the outset of the meeting, Dr Marilyn briefed the delegation on the academic programs offered by Zayed University to prepare skilled and qualified cadres of young students, who can contribute effectively to the development process of the country, fulfill the needs of UAE labor market, and achieve strategic objectives of the University which, since its inception, focuses on delivering high quality education and attracting distinguished competencies and expertise. They were also briefed on Zayed University's diligent efforts to disseminate the culture of excellence among its students and faculty members. During the meeting, both parties discussed various plans to foster intercultural communication between the University of Warsaw and Zayed University in the field of Islamic finance, Islamic banking, entrepreneurship, Arabic studies, and cultural exchange programs. Dr Marilyn affirmed Zayed University's commitment to provide training, education and research in response to the development needs of the Islamic banking and finance industry. The meeting also addressed the importance of recognizing aspiring and successful young entrepreneurs through offering programs and training courses, where they can network, share ideas, and turn their dreams into reality. Additionally, teaching the Arabic language was also one of the top priorities of the meeting's agenda. Both parties expressed their willingness to enhance the status of Arabic language and raise awareness on the aesthetics of the language.
