PRLog -- Providence Community Library (PCL) is selling tickets for a 50/50 raffle as part of its current fundraising campaign and the winner will get half the proceeds of all tickets sold. As of Saturday morning, April 30, the pot stood at $5,675 and is growing all the time! Raffle tickets are available at most PCL locations (Fox Point, Knight Memorial, Mount Pleasant, Smith Hill, South Providence, Rochambeau, Wanskuck and Washington Park) through Tuesday during opening hours for $5 each or 3 for $10. For legal reasons, tickets are not available online. The drawing is May 4.
The 50:50 raffle is part of PCL's fundraiser, "Strengthening Our Roots," which takes place Wednesday, May 4 at Hotel Providence. The fundraiser will honor Congressman David Cicilline and a library co-founder, Linda Kushner, for the work they did to found PCL. Money raised will help PCL close a current operating deficit, buy books and materials for its summer reading program and more.
