Bed Bugs Shut Down Taylor Library

Nov. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- The presence of bed bugs shut down Taylor Michigan's city library last October 25. According to a report, the building was not re-opened until Tuesday, the week after the crawlers were discovered.

An estimated 100 bed bugs were found in the computer laboratory of Taylor library. A patron said  she felt being bitten by something and discovered the pests in the seat. The staff was immediately alerted and inspected if bed bugs spread out beyond the lab.

Immediately, bed bug exterminators were called in for treatment. And though the pests were present in one area only, the whole building was closed down for safety reasons. In addition to the bed bug treatment, a bed-bug-sniffing Beagle was brought in to make sure that none of the crawlers were left in the building.
