The show emanating from the African American Art and Culture Complex (AAACC) is produced by Will Hammond and Ken Johnson. Ellington's segment offered a compelling introduction to his story, community roots, and priorities for the district. A Candidate Steeped in Local Experience & Leadership A third-generation San Franciscan, Ellington carries more than 15 years of expertise in public affairs, government relations, and community engagement. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Notre Dame de Namur University and an M.A. in Urban Affairs from the University of San Francisco. Throughout his career, Ellington has held leadership roles bridging public, nonprofit, and civic sectors. Among them: - Director of Homeless Initiatives & Community Development at The Salvation Army of San Francisco, where he led strategic redevelopment and scaled services, especially during the COVID‑19 crisis. - Public Affairs Director for the Golden State Warriors / Chase Center, managing government relations, community benefits, and cross‑sector coordination.
