Philip Paul Kelly's Rock-n-Roll Wrestling Spectacle, "
Rockquiem For A Wrestler." Featuring the music of Star (
Eddie Star & The Zero Effect,
JoyBox) and composer
Paul Castrataro (Picture of Dorian Gray, Fags & Cellphones), the story about a champion wrestler created a lot of excitement among both wrestling and music fans. The Off-Broadway "Elevated Staged Reading" streamed live on June 27, 2020, from New York City's Triad Theater, was covered on
PWInsider.com, the leading site for wrestling news, and
Broadway World.
In addition to the title track, the single includes the tracks Bitter Water, and Mirror, Mirror, recorded live and featuring harmony vocals by Philip Paul Kelly. Star's recent releases include
Informal Deviance (13 Sexational Songs) with his side project, the band JoyBox, in 2015, and a solo single,
Science Fiction/Double Feature, in 2019.
