ZealZaddy to Produce Legendary Dungeons & Dragons Campaign Setting

MIAMI - Feb. 15, 2022 - PRLog -- Vadashar, a Dungeons and Dragons 5E setting, is coming to the gaming marketplace after four decades in development.

Vadashar is a city of thieves, rogues, warriors, wizards, and adventurers. Players will discover a campaign setting both new and unknown, while influenced by the grandeur and mysteries of our own ancient world. Vadashar creator Cliff Dunn cautions, though, that what may seem familiar to a dedicated ancient history nerd, is merely one layer of the deeper, darker secrets that lie at the heart of Vadashar.

ZealZaddy co-founder Dunn and his partner, popular content creator Scott Coventry, have announced a new line, including adventure supplements, campaign guides, and extensive information about the unique setting of Vadashar, which combines a variety of fantasy elements: sword and sorcery that evokes the legendary worlds of Robert E. Howard's Hyboria, Kull the Conqueror, and Conan the Barbarian, the shared universe of Thieves' World, the forbidden sorcery and dark science of Edward Karl Wagner's Kane, the swashbuckling of Fritz Leiber's Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser, the cosmic horror of Clark Ashton Smith (stories of Zothique, and Averoigne), H.P. Lovecraft (the Cthulhu Mythos), and Robert W. Chambers (The King In Yellow), and the modern film science fiction horror of the Alien franchise (and later Prometheus).

This made Vadashar popular as a campaign setting, spanning over 40 years, including at South Florida's legendary The Compleat Strategist game store, where Dunn was manager during the 1980s, and later at the Broward Game Players Club, the world's first gaming café.

Future supplements will delve into the mighty Kuranian Empire (inspired by ancient Akkadian, Assyrian, and Persian empires), the Andossean League (influenced by Hellenic and Republican Roman culture), as well as explore the mysteries of the Cults of Baal, Ishtar, and forbidden Asura (Azoth).
