Winifred Johnson Clive Foundation approves $15K grant, $10K challenge for My New Red Shoes

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Dec. 2, 2019 - PRLog -- My New Red Shoes (MNRS), a nonprofit working to improve the quality of life and well-being of children and youth experiencing economic hardship, announced the organization has been approved by the Winifred Johnson Clive Foundation for a $15K grant and an additional challenge match of $10K. The money will go toward expanding MNRS' services beyond the back-to-school period through the launch of a Long-Term Services Program. The initiative seeks to close the clothing gap by meeting the on-going footwear and clothing needs of the community's most vulnerable students for up to a year or more based on a family's needs.

Since 2011, MNRS has received several grants from the Winifred Johnson Clive Foundation. The mission of the Foundation is to keep the spirit and passions of Winifred Johnson Clive alive through programs and organizations that Winifred supported during her lifetime, and by responding to new organizations that embody and extend her philanthropic heritage.

In order to receive the full $10k challenge funding, MNRS must first secure $10K of funding from donors. The Winifred Johnson Clive Foundation will then match that $10K. Donations must be received by midnight on December 15, 2019 in order to qualify for the match by the Clive Foundation.
