PRLog -- City Connect, a San Jose-based real estate development company, today announced the acquisition of an 11.6-acre site at 14001 Chester Avenue in Saratoga, California. The purchase, totaling $30.6 million, marks a pivotal milestone for the region's housing development and the future Vineyard One community. City Connect partnered with West Coast Community Bank to support the purchase.
"We believe deeply in the power of community and the importance of creating places people can truly call home," said Tom Wilson, CEO of City Connect. "I was born and grew up in Saratoga, so this is very special for me personally. I'm proud to help bring this thoughtful, high-quality housing development to Saratoga. Vineyard One is a project born from collaboration, and it's our hope it will serve generations of families to come."
The proposed project will deliver 238 new homes, including 85 townhomes, 84 residential flats, 24 single-family detached residences, and 45 accessory dwelling units. Designed by SDG Architects, the neighborhood will contribute much-needed housing to one of Silicon Valley's most desirable communities.
"The Vineyard One development is exactly the kind of smart project our region needs right now," says Jim Wunderman, CEO of Bay Area Council. We're in a housing crisis that affects everything from workforce retention to economic growth. Projects like this, led by community-focused partners like City Connect, help ensure the Bay Area remains livable, inclusive, and economically resilient." The development will proceed through the City of Saratoga's streamlined housing review process, with an emphasis on architectural integrity, community amenities, and long-term neighborhood value.
