"We Are All Born Beautiful!" the message from Jon Mullane, Won Best Independent Music Video

LOS ANGELES - Nov. 27, 2016 - PRLog -- "Real beauty comes from the inside" is the message Jon Mullane and director/producer Dillon Garland were trying to convey in the video for Jon Mullane's song "Born Beautiful", which picked up the award for Best Independent Music Video at the 7th Annual Hollywood Music in Media Awards, presented at the Fonda Theatre on November 17, 2016. Mullane graciously accepted his award, thanking the organizers of the HMMA, complementing the audience by telling everyone present they are all "beautiful, inside and out", and saying the inspiration behind the song can be found right in its title, "We are all 'Born Beautiful'!"

The inspiring video is receiving significant recognition of late, having also recently won the 2016 Music Video of the Year Award at the International Music & Entertainment Awards in Nashville, TN.

"Born Beautiful", the current single from Mullane's album SHINE encourages all of us to embrace the beauty we can find within ourselves, and through this song and its video, in which a young woman rejects suicide, Jon has formed partnerships with mental health organizations, including the Canadian Mental Health Association CMHA, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and The Campaign to Change Direction, to help raise awareness and change the culture of mental health.

Mullane is the also the subject of a new documentary, "Jon Mullane - Shine On" by John Rosborough of RPM Productions in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, which follows Jon's musical career as well as his personal struggles and triumphs. The condensed version of the documentary culminates with the worldwide digital release of Jon's album SHINE. The documentary received an honorable mention at the 2016 HMMA Ceremony.
