Language Systems International (LSI) has successfully completed its re-accreditation with ACCET
The avocational private language school received a 5-year grant of accreditation, the longest term possible.
Founded in Los Angeles, California in 1987, Language Systems has provided a variety of programs to students from all over the world, tailoring its classes to meet its students' needs. The school combines high-quality English language teaching with cultural and practical training, making it ideal for students with academic or professional goals."We are pleased to continue our accreditation with ACCET and are confident that international students will be able to take advantage of all the benefits that come from studying at a nationally recognized accrediting organization,"
Accreditation by ACCET, which is recognized by the U. S. Department of Education as an authority on the quality of the programs that it accredits, attests to an organizational commitment to and a strategic plan for quality training, ensuring programs are current, relevant, and educationally sound. Language Systems, which has been accredited by ACCET since 2013, received the renewal in August 2016."I can say with confidence that students who attend one of the many programs offered here at Language Systems will learn English from some of the world's most skilled teachers, "said Language Systems – Downtown LA Program Coordinator Lígia Andersen."Our goal is continuous institutional improvement, so our ACCET accreditation certainly demonstrates that."
Successfully completing the accreditation process with ACCET validates the quality of the educational institution and the programs it offers. The function of ACCET is to ensure the educational quality of both vocational and avocational institutions through continuous assessment and improvement of educational practices. ACCET approved institutions undergo a number of processes, including on-site professional peer review and analysis by its Accrediting Commission. Language Systems has met the challenge of accreditation, striving to offer the best quality education at an affordable tuition; LSI students have the opportunity to complete their English studies with confidence and satisfaction.
One of the many benefits of attending a nationally accredited institution can be seen in the partnerships that Language Systems has with local colleges and universities. These partnerships, or Mutual Recognition Programs (MRP), allow LSI graduates to enroll in these educational institutions without having to take the TOEFL® test.
In response to the re-accreditation, the Academic Director, Michelle Buell said, "LSI has had the benefit of being guided by ACCET accreditation standards, enabling us to keep striving for quality programs that will benefit all of our students. In this process, ACCET standards and criteria have provided LSI with valuable tools and best practices that led to our development toward academic excellence. We have an incredible group of people at LSI. Everyone did their best to contribute something to the re-accreditation process. I am honored to be a part of such a dynamic group of people."
At Language Systems, the most important value is to respect the diversity and encourage each student to share his or her unique cultural background. The learning process permits the student's exposure to a variety of educational methods, and the classes are specially tailored to meet the student's academic needs and goals. The environment of mutual understanding and friendly relationships established among students, peers and instructors through classes, outdoor activities, and campus events are specially designed to develop the abilities to think, read, write, listen, and communicate effectively in English. "I love the atmosphere at Language Systems. I have great co-workers, professional teachers, devoted office staff, and a wonderful Program Coordinator, not to mention great students." said ESL teacher and Assistant Program Coordinator at the Los Angeles campus, Iain McConnell.
Language Systems International was founded with the purpose of providing English as a Second Language (ESL) and test preparation to international students. With four locations in Southern California (Downtown LA, Northeast LA, Orange County and South Bay LA), LSI equips international students with the critical skills needed to function successfully in an English-speaking environment, thus helping students to become successful both in their academic and professional endeavors.
