New Free video Series To Help Parents Of Struggliing Readers

BRANFORD, Conn. - Sept. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- Lucie M. Curtiss, R.N. And Dr. Douglas Curtiss of Dyslexic AND UN-Stoppable are excited to announce a free online video series to help busy parents of children who are struggling to read.  Entitled, "Five Steps You Can take Right Now To Help Your Struggling Reader," the video series offers parents practical advice to help their children succeed in school.

In the video series, Dr. and Ms. Curtiss discuss:

- Where to start to make sure you get the right help
- What area of school to work on first
- How assistive technologies can make your life easier
- How a multi-sensory approach can help your child
- How to communicate with the school to obtain the services you need and maintain a collaborative atmosphere


Combining Dr. Curtiss' 18 years as a pediatrician with Ms. Curtiss' experience as a successful dyslexic, the video series also teaches lessons that the Curtisses learned as parents of a dyslexic child.

"We remember what it is like to be confused as parents, not knowing where to turn, and not understanding why our brilliant son was struggling at school.  We know it can be confusing for parents and wanted to give them real information that they can use to help their children right now," said Ms. Curtiss.
