The FRIB will be a new national user facility for nuclear science, funded by the Department of Energy Office of Science, Michigan State University (MSU), and the State of Michigan. MSU has begun constructing the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams, a DOE Office of Science project to design and establish a world-leading laboratory that will push the boundaries of nuclear science.
