By: Lullubee Lullubee’s new retail craft kits are now available in various Hobbytown stores,and in select specialty toy stores in the US, on Lullubee.com, and on Amazon.com. According to the Craft and Hobby Association, 62.5 million people participated in one or more crafts in 2012, and 85 percent of crafters make their purchases in a store or outlet location. With this expansion into the retail space, and as the nation turns its attention to seeking quality, unique gifts for the holiday season, lullubee considers itself well positioned for growth. “We are excited to offer our craft kits in specialty hobby and toy stores across the U.S.,” said Lullubee co-owner Tiffany Dekel. “While we still consider our monthly subscription boxes to be our core business, bringing our childrens’ kits to the retail market makes them more readily available to a broader group of consumers,” Dekel said. Among Lullubee’s top sellers are needle felting kits. Needle felting is an art form that involves sculpting raw wool with special needles. Needle- “We have chosen to expand into the retail market with childrens’ kits in order to better serve that market segment.We tend to sell more adult kits online. The volume of our kits has increased, and hopefully by next year, you will be able to walk into any specialty toy or craft store and see our products,” said Dekel.
