DEI Cycle Introduces Titanium Pipe Shield with LR Fiber Technology

TROY, Tenn. - May 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Avon Lake, OH....Extreme heat can rob power and potentially damage a bike’s engine, hoses, and sensitive electrical components. Now DEI Cycle, a division of DEI Performance Products, has introduced a Titanium Pipe Shield with LR fiber technology that provides maximum heat protection from hot exhausts generated by today's stock and modified bikes, ATVs/UTVs, quads and snowmobiles.

The new Titanium Pipe Shield with LR fiber technology combines a two-ply proprietary material with unique riveted stand-offs, providing an air gap for maximum cooling and heat dissipation. Superior to traditional Mylar-backed glass shields, DEI’s Titanium Shield adds up to 1350°F of protection. Ordinary glass fiber and Mylar shields can begin to fail at only 900°F.  

The shield’s outer layer is made from pulverized and stranded lava rock that is woven into a tight weave for added durability and strength. The inside material is made of a special high temperature resistant fabric that is 89% silica.  This proprietary LR fiber technology combined with DEI’s unique shield standoff bracket design provides superior protection against leg burns, melted boots, and also protects engines, transmissions and other bike components from searing radiant heat.
