TransActive Seeking Community Education Program Manager

April 20, 2012 - PRLog -- TransActive, a unique organization serving transgender and gender nonconforming children, youth and their families is seeking a manager for our Community Education program.

You will helping to develop and expand our: training materials, presentations speakers bureau, professional seminars, national and international messaging and more.

Ideally, you will have experience in working with trans gender nonconforming youth and possess an outgoing personality and comfort with public speaking.

Experience in working in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel a plus.

This is a volunteer position at present and would require a minimum of 16 hours per week in our Portland (Oregon) office and the ability to work from home as time allows. You will be joining a mostly all-volunteer staff of highly motivated, dedicated  and fun-loving individuals. This is an opportunity on the cutting edge of serving a highly marginalized and under served youth population.

Compensation for this position begins with a modest monthly stipend. It will become a funded position in the near future.
