Legal issues of aircraft leasing and financing to be discussed in Dubai

Dec. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- The Workshop Speakers are Mark Atwood (Member, Cozen O’Connor) and Jamie Baldwin (Lecturer, Author and Consultant on Air Transportation, Adjunct Instructor, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University).
Following the success of the previous workshop in Dubai, this event is hosted by UIB and it will cover the following themes: Introduction to aircraft leasing and financing, principles of contract law, operating leases, aircraft finance, aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance leases, and aviation insurance.
Mark Atwood is a member of Cozen O’Connor, focusing on legal issues affecting the aviation and aeronautics industries. He represents a variety of clients, including U.S. and foreign airlines, airports, leasing companies, brokers, aerospace manufacturers, repair stations, and airline investors before the courts, regulatory agencies, and Congress. He also counsels U.S. clients in their regulatory affairs before foreign governments, advises airlines in financial structuring, and represents parties to aircraft acquisition transactions.
Jamie Baldwin is an author, lecturer and consultant in air transportation and an Adjunct Instructor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.   His areas of expertise include start-up airline strategies, marketing strategies, licensing, regulatory compliance, aircraft sourcing, strategic planning, contracts and agency agreements.
