Healthcare Organization Uses Applicant Tracking System to Improve Recruiting Process

Oct. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Paramount Healthcare Centers is the home office to 12 healthcare facilities providing long term care in the State of Texas including Austin, San Antonio and Houston.  Two additional facilities will be added in the near future.  The company takes great pride in their facilities and strives to provide the best possible service.  Because of the growth and the high standards, Paramount was looking for a way to improve their new hire process.

Maria Robinson is the Human Resource Representative responsible for posting and managing all jobs and managing the new applicant recruiting process at Paramount.  In addition, she screens applicants and forwards the key candidate information to multiple facilities for review and feedback.  They mainly recruit registered, licensed, certified nurses and medical aids.  However, they also hire non-medical personnel as well.

Ms. Robinson shares some of the key challenges they faced that led to the decision to evaluate an applicant tracking system.  “All of our recruiting and hiring processes were completely manual.  Applicants had to come to one of our individual facilities and complete a paper application. We were using local newspapers to advertise our positions which was not producing enough candidates.”  When evaluating applicant tracking systems, she said it was important to get, “a system that was user friendly and would help us to advertise our jobs in more places. We needed an automated way to post jobs, manage applicants and forward qualified candidates to all of our facilities throughout the State.”

After bringing on ApplicantStack to manage and automate the hiring process, Ms. Robinson has seen a marked improvement.  Overall, she says the new system is, “Absolutely user-friendly!
