Help from home builder for RAF Families Day

July 27, 2011 - PRLog -- Davidsons Homes, who are building at Rauceby near to RAF Cranwell, have made a donation to the station to help them stage their Families Day. The event, which was staged last Friday, brought together all of the RAF families from Cranwell on the last day of school term for a BBQ and Fun Day including races, bouncy castles, ice cream and face painting.  
Head of Sales from Davidsons Homes, Stephanie King, and Sales Manager Louise Crane, presented a cheque to Station Commander Group Captain (Gp Capt) David Waddington on Cranwell station.
Gp Capt Waddington said “We were delighted when Davidsons came to us and said they wanted to help in some way and we both thought using the donation towards the Families Day was a great way to do this”.
Stephanie King from Davidsons, said “Our De Vessey Fields development at Rauceby is very close to RAF Cranwell and like many other people we are strong supporters of the armed services, so we this was a great opportunity for us to show our support in a tangible and family friendly way – something which is close to our heart as family home builders.
“We hope we can help in other ways too, because FirstBuy, the new Government backed initiative designed to make home ownership easier for first time buyers, will be available at De Vessey Fields. It will provide a welcome stepping stone for RAF personnel and other potential buyers who qualify”.
