For Rain Henderson, perception is everything, and as the drop-dead gorgeous owner of a high-end art gallery – not to mention the mistress of a wealthy pro baller – her life appears to be all that she desires it to be...however, when the façade of fantasy comes crashing down around her and she’s forced to account for her many transgressions, the stark, sobering reality may ultimately be too much for her to bear...
Raw and real, Painting The Perfect Picture is an intriguing read. In it, author Mutima Jackson-Anderson presents the reader with a compelling morality tale highlighting the drama that awaits us when we’re finally forced to face the consequences of our actions. For all her superficial luxury, Rain is no different than any of us, and Jackson-Anderson does a convincing job of showing the reader that – no matter how highly we may think of ourselves – we are never above being brought to a low point of sincere humility. As such, readers will be wise to heed the trials and tribulations of Rain’s own creation, as well as apply the lessons she’s forced to learn for the betterment of their own lives. An enjoyable read.
