There are major issues breaking the barrier between trading Forex currencies as a hobby and making it a lucractive full time career.  I mean, making it not just a day job but something beyond what you could have earnt in daily trading income than what your day job could have paid.

Remember this alarming statistic.  If you dont lift your game.. by the end of the year you will be worse off.  In fact, by the end of the year you will be financially worse off and having all sorts of regrets or remorse that the account is perhaps 10 or 20% of the value of what it is now.

Too often people dont seek the advice of a professional.  In the trading game its something that they (a trader new to the market) seeks comfort in the forums, in a $20 book, in some nook and cranny... perhaps its an ego thing ..but in most cases the self learning trader will bunker down in the hope of making an impression on his friends and family that he is a self taught, self learnt trader.  There is no investment in themselves... they continue on trading.. demo testing (more on that later) month after month and like a slow death the currency trading account begins to twindle slow by slow... week by week.

The thing is with Forums .. most are trading small, neglible amounts that wouldnt be sustainable in a real live day to day "living" situation.  I have seen traders who are talking about paper profits (trading a demo with $100,000 starting money and thinking they are king of trading).  The reality is that these people will be committed to trading demos for some time and or never put any serious money into a live trading account.

The time is NOW.  Gather you MAP.  Create a map of where you want to be in your trading.  We both know theres a lot of information out there on the internet and most of it is sheer BULLshyt to use the expression.  Theres curve fitted results, statements like my Grandma made $200,000 with this strategy and demo results that are being passed over as LIVE RESULTS.  What absolute rubbish and lies.  Thank goodness for sites like http://www.forexpeacearmy.com

Saverio Berlinzani, entered the banking world as a foreign exchange trader at the Banco Lariano in 1989. He spent the next 4 years between the branches of Paris and Milan working as a spot market maker for FRF and ITL, executing foreign exchange forward contracts and options for customers.

In March '93 He was hired by Swiss Bank Corporation (SBC) as chief dealer MARKET MAKER) for the "centre of excellence" between the branches of Lugano, Zurich and Geneva.

Every year since 2002 Saverio has been invited as one of the main traders during the financial Italian fairs (ITF Rimini,- Tol Expo Milano,-Tradando Forli').
In August '96 he transferred to the London branch of SBC and from March '97 he was head of the European Monetary System currencies desk. His primary role for the Swiss bank was market maker in European currencies, and he was part of the proprietary trading team in which he managed strategic positions through spot and options on Foreign exchange rates.

SBC had by now become the Swiss banking giant UBS (the name derived from the merger of two great Swiss banks Swiss Bank Corp and Union Bank of Switzerland), and in the spring of '98 he left UBS to return to Milan where he founded Salex Forex brokerage. Over the next few years Salex became the leader in the Forex market in Italy. He left Salex in September 2009 after the business was sold to FXCM.

Over the last 10 year Saverio has written financial articles for the main Italian web financial sites, and is regularly invited to several financial Television programs (CNBC & Bloomberg) as an expert in the foreign exchange market.
