Follow on Google News | Recyclable Electronics Experience Another Increase in ValueThe market values of another 100 different models of cell phones, ink and laser cartridges has increased this month, allowing Cartridges for Kids to increase payments to their recyclers who send in these items.
By: cfktoday Higher market values of items means more earnings for the thousands of schools and organizations who use CFK as a fundraiser. While any type of group can enroll in the program, schools, scouting troops, churches, sports teams, and animal shelters are among CFK's most popular recyclers. Emily Davis, a CFK representative, thanks the recent popularity of the 'green movement' for the increased values. "Recycling is doing really well and it's very exciting," she said. "We are fortunate to be able to pay our participants even more for their items!" Participation involves enrolling (to receive free fliers, posters, and free shipping labels), collecting used electronics, and sending them to CFK. Participants receive a monthly check for the market value of items sent the previous month. Since its inception, this recycling program for schools and non-profits has helped organizations fundraise over $13 million. CFK is free for participants, and dedicated to recycling or reusing responsibly. End
