Follow on Google News | Recycled iPhones Can Bring Over $1000 to SchoolsSchools who recycle iPhones are now eligible for up to $1000 in prize money when they participate in CFK's Great iPhone Treasure Hunt. CFK will be giving out cash for the value of recycled phones, as well as $1750 to the schools who collect the most.
By: cfktoday Groups who are interested in participating can go to CFK's website or call 800.420.0235 to sign up. The Treasure Hunt runs from now until December 1. Groups are provided with a treasure map to follow, full of places from which to collect used iPhones and other items. Each month, participants receive a check for the market value of the items they recycled the month before. Lists of items CFK recycles and their values can be found on their website. Currently, iPhones are worth between $40 and $225 each. CFK also recycles other models of cell phones, laser and ink cartridges, iPods, digital cameras, DVDs, GPS devices, video games and consoles, scientific and graphing calculators, and laptops. CFK will give away $1000 to the group that recycles the most iPhones between now and December 1, $500 to second place, and $250 for 3rd place.* Each individual who contributes an iPhone to their group's recycling drive will receive a special bag of pirate loot, provided by CFK. "The potential for earning money during the iPhone Treasure Hunt is out of this world. Schools can earn over a thousand dollars, easily. It's the most money we've ever given away as a prize, and that combined with the high value of used iPhones make this the most exciting fundraiser CFK has ever done" says Anna Pollock-Nelson, a representative with CFK. For more information, visit the CFK website at http://www.cfktoday.com or call 800.420.0235. * A minimum of 15 phones must be sent for 1st place, 10 for 2nd place, 5 for 3rd place. # # # CFK was launched nationwide in 1999. Since its inception, this recycling program for schools and non-profits has helped organizations fundraise over $13 million. CFK is free for participants, and dedicated to recycling or reusing responsibly. End
