July Kicks Off National Month of Soldier Support

Supporting our troops doesn't take cash or free time anymore--old cell phones and other electronics can be recycled to benefit charities working to support our troops and their families, this month and all year long at Recycle 4 Soldiers.

July 1, 2010 - PRLog -- This July is Recycle 4 Soldiers month at CFK and Recycle 4 a Cause. Designed to garner nationwide support for our troops serving here and overseas, this month incorporates recycling with soldier advocacy. A nonpartisan organization, CFK and Recycle 4 a Cause's parent company, Access Computer Products, initiated the Recycle 4 Soldiers program a few years ago, and has been encouraging the support of nonprofits working to help our troops and their families ever since.

Recycle 4 Soldiers is a year-round recycling fundraising program that recycles or refurbishes used electronics and sends the proceeds to nonprofits across the country. Individuals and groups looking to recycle used electronics can send their items to Recycle 4 Soldiers and either designate one of the pre-approved charities to receive the proceeds or indicate that they be allocated to the general fund, which is divided evenly among the pre-approved charities: Operation Gratitude, Veterans Advantage, Operation Family Fund, and Any Soldier.

Participation in the program is easy. Recycle 4 Soldiers provides free shipping labels for any quantity of items, as well as fliers, posters, and other materials to help groups spread the word about their recycling. Groups of any size and nature can participate; schools, churches, clubs, sports teams, and scout troops across the nation are joining the cause.

For more information, or to sign up your group to participate, visit the Recycle 4 Soldiers website: http://www.Recycle4Soldiers.com, email recycle4acause at yahoo dot com, or call 800-420-0235.
