Fouad Idbafdil's Life and Career

Fouad Idbafdil was first a military man hailing from Morocco, who later became a refugee of France. He used his training to fuel his athletic dreams and achieved a position on the Athlete Refugee Team.

Idbafdil's illustrious career started when he was able to qualify for the Athlete Refugee Team as a steeplechaser. Over the course of his career, he had the following personal bests:

• 2023 (3000m event): 8:34.72 recorded time, scoring 1101 at Stade Raymond Troussier in Decines, France.
• 2023 (1500 m event): 3:52.03 recorded time, scoring 951 at Arena Civica Gianni Brera in Milano, Italy.
• 2021 (3000m event): 8:15.06 recorded time, coring 990 at Stadium Miramas Métropole in Miramas, France.

He also qualified for the sought-after International Olympic Committee scholarship.
