Ashton College now accepting applications for 2019 Bursaries

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Sept. 11, 2019 - PRLog -- For the 14th year running, Ashton College is offering four bursaries worth $8,000 each to potential students interested in pursuing full-time studies at Ashton College.

Co-sponsored by the Canadian Immigrant, a national multi-platform brand for all immigrants to Canada, the bursaries allow candidates to study any program or course of their choice, including Human Resources, Finance, Immigration, Bookkeeping, Business, among others.

To be eligible, the applicant should have arrived in Canada for the first time in the last five years and should be a permanent resident or a citizen at the time of application. Additionally, applicants are also expected to submit an essay, a reference letter from a previous instructor or an employer, a resume and a completed application form.

"Our job-ready programs enable newcomers to get the education they need to grow and advance their careers," says Colin Fortes, President of Ashton College. "We're proud to offer these bursaries to help new immigrants get local credentials and reach their professional goals."

Previous winners of the Ashton Bursaries have included newcomers who first arrived here from countries like Vietnam, Pakistan, Nigeria, India, Philippines and other places. These bursaries have made a notable difference in the lives of these winners, easing their financial burdens and helping them achieve their dreams.
