Hobbs has three multi award winning short films of his own – One Nation, Naga Pixie and Agent Hollywood (www.ImaginationLunchbox.com) Anthony Michael is founder of Imagination Lunchbox. LLC - a production company. His company host an annual film fest called the "Imagination Lunchbox International Children's Film Festival" (ILICFF). The ILICFF is in its third year and it screens and awards short films made by youth from all around the world. Eubie Blake, name sake of the cultural center where the filmmaking workshops will be held, lived to be 100 years old and is a legend who invented the music genre Ragtime Jazz. A musical genius, Eubie started playing the organ at the age of four. By age 20 he was playing in the first colored club in Baltimore owned by boxing champ Joe Grans. From there he went into filmmaking with three projects to show for it - all now among the Maurice Zouary Film Collection at the Library of Congress. He garnered a Grammy Award nominated for the album release "The 86 Years of Eubie Blake." He received the Presidential Metal of Freedom at age 98 and eight honorary Doctorate degrees from such universities as Howard, University of Maryland, Rutgers, Darmouth and Morgan State University. The center is also a museum that houses some of the Eubie Blake Collection. It brings artists together and has a goal to education youth in the arts, science, technology, engineering and math.
