Follow on Google News | ![]() Open Submissions for the 9th annual Imagination Lunchbox International Film Fests Still AvailableShorts are to be no longer than 10 minutes in various categories such as documentary, drama, comedy, animation and more. In the past short films were screened at ILICFF/ILIFF from the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, Japan, Russia, Germany, Korea, Spain and many more. Founded by Anthony Michael Hobbs (www.ImaginationLunchbox.com) Five awards will be given - "Best Film," "Best Film Made By Youth," "Best Film Made by Adults for Youth," "Best Film Made by Adults for Adults" "Film Festival Choice," and "Most Uplifting Film". Submission deadlines are March 22nd for early birds; June 7th regular deadline; August 2nd for late deadline, with winners' notification by August 2nd. Aside from the screening and awards (Eubie Blake Center/with virtual access), ILIFF and ILICFF offer a private and public screening and awards event; a filmmaking workshop (Eubie Blake Center/with virtual access) with speakers that include the stuntman director for Fast & Furious and Star Trek films, a Hollywood attorney and producer at BET; an open call auditions (virtually) with filmmakers with projects on BET, Netflix, Hulu, and Tubi, and an open court community basketball game (UA House at Fayette) with head coaches from Morgan State University and Bowie State University. The "Imagination Lunchbox International Children's Film Festival" was launch in 2016 by Hobbs to give young filmmakers a platform to showcase their films and view other creative projects made for young filmmakers. The "Imagination Lunchbox International Film Festival" for adult films was launched in 2023 to open his platform up to all other filmmakers over the age of 18.
