LOS ANGELES - April 3, 2018 - PRLog -- Today surf-prog-rock band Blue Wave Theory releases its collaboration "Sing Along with Blue Wave Theory" around the world and on an array of streaming and distribution platforms. The album kicks off with a classic surf-rock-style track "Living Nightmare" and spans a wide range to the Pacific Rim electronica of the song "Little Mermaid." Blue Wave Theory's twenty-song collection of remixes not only bends the mind and ears with its range of genre diversity and production, but it also drops in on the waves of open sharing culture.

In summer of 2016, this New Jersey based quartet was the featured artist for the "Ride the Wave Remix Event" within the global ccMixter music community. Talented artists from around the world created and produced dozens of outside-the-box remixes, which BWT later curated into Sing Along with Blue Wave Theory, a multi-genre release that is the group's fourth.

Many of the new recordings feature vocals -- a first for Blue Wave Theory. With the pells of Madam Snowflake, Kara Square, Sackjo22, and Forensic to name a few, and the production talent of remixers like Spinmeister, Tobias Weber, Stefan Kartenberg, Alex Beroza, Bluemillenium, and Platinum Butterfly, the album is filled with diversity while remaining true to the band's roots.

"It was a unique privilege to collaborate with such talented producers and vocalists from very diverse musical perspectives," remarked Steve Rabeler, guitarist for Blue Wave Theory. "I was amazed at how our surf rock instrumentals could be remixed, edited, and brilliantly incorporated into so many different styles and genres."

Blue Wave Theory is an American instrumental rock band formed in 2007 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and features Steve Rabeler (guitar), Bob Trimble (guitar), Kevin Stamper (bass), and Rob Wolleben (drums). Blue Wave Theory has shared the stage with some of the world's finest surf and instrumental rock artists including Dick Dale, Messer Chups, Gary Hoey, and The Blair-Pongracic Band.  The group can seen performing at music venues throughout New Jersey, Philadelphia, and New York City.

"Surf culture is deeply rooted in SoCal, where ccMixter and ArtisTech Media's headquarters are located -- the culture is all around us," stated Jason Brock, ccMixter Director and Administrator. "So when listening to Sing Along we heard how it sounds in that setting -- on the beach in Malibu, or on a surf trip up the coast. We realized how deep the roots of Blue Wave Theory's artistry goes. They are willing to take risks and they hang ten doing it. It's been a pleasure to work with them on this project."

This album of surf-rock-sing-along is an exemplary model of how music is released in a culture of sharing.  Like the surfers of old who paddled out into waves no one thought were rideable, Sing Along with Blue Wave Theory is the band's way of showing us there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the ride.

Sing Along with Blue Wave Theory is available now on iTunes, Bandcamp, Jamendo, and Spotify.
