Sizzling Summer Soundtrack that Shines Rays of Positivity

'Expand Your Horizons' features 13 empowering tracks that center on alternative pop rock with a few divergences to electronic, soul, and singer-songwriter genres. Open collaboration through ccMixter.org brought an international community together to make this album possible. Since 2005, Spinningmerkaba has recorded and shared his vocals online with artists in the community, who have composed and produced hundreds of tracks over the years. Likewise, Spinningmerkaba has produced over a hundred songs by using the stems contributed by other ccMixter artists. 'Expand Your Horizons' was curated from Spinningmerkaba's "expansive catalog of musical works that was built over a decade by a coalition of musicians around the world.

"Putting together these tracks brought a deeper level of appreciation to me for the ccMixter community," said Spinningmerkaba. "Open sharing of music inspires creativity that has lasting impact.  I consider myself fortunate to be in such good company."

The album starts with the explosive alternative rock track "Down in Your Heart," produced by ccMixter hit-maker Alex Beroza. Keeping the intensity full flare, the pumping, upbeat electro pop title track is masterfully produced by Zep Hurme and features ethereal backup vocals by Madam Snowflake. Spinningmerkaba's spirited vocals and radiant positivity shine bright with track 5, "Summertime," which features Stefan Kartenberg's snappy drum rhythm. The last track shows Spinningmerkaba's sensitive side with his gentle, smooth vocal delivery and supportive lyrics that he wrote for his daughter. "Just Foolish" features Admiral Bob's distinguished guitar playing and finishes the album with a little tug at your heartstrings.
