Surrounded By Stories: A Scripted & Unscripted Film Showcase, a one-night-only cultural event celebrating powerful new storytelling at the historic
SVA Theatre in New York City.
Designed to uplift unreleased works and amplify underrepresented creatives in film and television, the event will blend cinematic premieres with real-talk conversations. Guests can expect
red-carpet moments,
screenings of boundary-pushing films, and
live panels featuring a dynamic lineup of Black and BIPOC talent who are shaping today's entertainment landscape.

The evening's screenings include the
world premiere of Spillover, a Harlem-set short where a confrontation between two lifelong friends and a white rookie cop erupts into a life-altering event. Actress and executive producer
Naturi Naughton (
Power) presents
333, a deeply personal short that explores spiritual awakening and the emotional weight of womanhood through surreal and symbolic storytelling. Also featured is
Sincerely Brad, a genre-blending short directed by Grammy-nominated filmmaker
Isaac Yowman, starring
Patrick Walker (
Power),
Carl Anthony Payne (
Martin), and
Cinthya Carmona (
Greenhouse Academy). Rounding out the lineup is
Grind Session, a raw, unfiltered docuseries pilot that dives into the competitive world of youth basketball prospects and the sacrifices they make in pursuit of going pro.
