ASA Takes Important Steps to Finalize CEIV Quality Monitoring Requirements

RESTON, Va. - Feb. 26, 2018 - PRLog -- The American Society of Appraisers (ASA) announces that important steps have been taken to finalize the quality monitoring requirements for the Certified in Entity and Intangible Valuations™ (CEIV™) credential.

ASA will join the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) to offer a combined quality control process solution with the goal of providing confidence to markets and regulators that CEIV credential holders are performing high quality valuations in compliance the Program's Mandatory Performance Framework.  The solution will require all CEIV credential holders to submit to defined compliance monitoring requirements; however, revisions are being made to those requirements in terms of timing and the potential integration of a firm's existing QM process into the CEIV QM requirements.

Details about the revisions to the CEIV quality monitoring requirements and the fees associated with this process will be announced in the coming weeks.
