Elston-Nationwide Names Doug George Chief Operating Officer

BEDFORD, Texas - Nov. 1, 2017 - PRLog -- Elston-Nationwide Carriers announced Doug George as Chief Operating Officer effective October 2.  He will be responsible for the strategic growth and management of Elston's 3PL solutions, temperature controlled LTL and brokerage divisions.

George has more than 23 years of experience in the transportation logistics industry, starting off as a dock operations supervisor for Roadway Express and ultimately working his way to a Director level position for XPO Logistics.

George most recently served as District Director for XPO Logistics where he managed operations across 4 brokerage offices representing $1M in daily revenue.  George also previously held the position of Corporate Branch President and Regional Vice President for XPO.  Prior to XPO, George served as Vice-President for Client Strategy & Development for AFN, LLC.
