U.S. Personal Chef Association Partners with Personal Chef Institute to Offer New Chef Training

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Dec. 1, 2016 - PRLog -- The United States Personal Chef Association (USPCA) is partnering with The Personal Chef Institute (PCI) of Providence, Rhode Island, to offer a comprehensive five-day session that covers the skills necessary to successfully launch and manage a Personal Chef business. The sessions are led by Lara Moritz and Norbert Klotz, active Personal Chefs with backgrounds in both the culinary and corporate worlds.

"We are thrilled to partner with Chefs Lara and Norbert, two dedicated members of the USPCA and two successful business owners," said USPCA Vice President Robert Lynch. "All Personal Chefs have the passion for food and for service, but not all are ready to be full-time entrepreneurs. This course will give them the skills and the confidence to kickstart a successful Personal Chef business."

The first session begins in Providence, Rhode Island, in January 2017. The session is tailored to the unique Personal Chef market, focuses on in-person, immersive, face-to-face learning with a small class size, and is led by instructors with both corporate and Personal Chef experience.

"We had seen too many of our fellow personal chefs not succeed in their dreams, not because they did not have the passion but because they did not possess the foundational business skills needed to succeed," said Chef Lara Moritz, owner of My Chef Lara and member of the USPCA since 2012. "I knew that we could change that."

Chefs who complete the course will receive marketing and business plans, a reference text book, templates, a 6-month subscription to Modernmeal.com, and a 1-year membership in the United States Personal Chef Association.
