PRLog -- People keep thinking whether doing yoga will reduce their weight. The fact is, yoga does help in reducing weight. Various poses (exercises) result in burning of fat and sweating which results in drinking lots of water, thus reducing weight. Many poses help in weight reduction. Some of them are: Shalabhasana (Locust pose), Naukasana (Boat Pose), Dhanurasana (Bow pose), Bhekasana (Frog Pose), Setu Bandh asana (Bridge Pose), Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose), Trikonasana (Triangle Pose), Halasana (Plough Pose), Virabhadrasana I (Warrior I Pose), Garudasana (Eagle Pose), and many more.
Yoga poses also help in toning down the body and increasing the body's stamina, flexibility, and muscular strength. Right food also needs to be combined along with yoga poses. This should not include rice, oil, bread, cheese, butter and any non-veg food. Fatty fruits like banana should also be avoided. Also, drink lots of juices and water to keep your body energized and hydrated. You must not consume more than 1200 calorie, as this will help you in getting a healthy and lighter body.
You should also do pranayama (breathing exercises) daily including Kapal Bhati in which you exhale air out of your stomach in a fast way. This will help reduce fat on your waist and around your hips. If you can do power yoga, then it will further help reduce weight as yoga poses in it are fast paced, and it is done in a warm room so that you keep sweating while doing various poses from the start.
