Hall of Fame Bullfighter and World Champion Bull Rider Bring Anti-Bullying Program to Conroe Schools

CONROE, Texas - Sept. 22, 2016 - PRLog -- Former Bullfighter Gary "Roach" Hedeman, 2013 CBR World Champion bull rider Cole Echols, and the live pet bucking bull Bill, will be in town at Heritage Park in Conroe, Friday, September 30 from 10 am to 3 pm meeting and greeting school age children and spreading the message that "bullying" is not acceptable behavior.

The "Bill is No Bully appearance and book are great tools to communicate with kids while at the same time increasing awareness about bullying in schools," said Roach Hedeman.

Hedeman who was born in Raton, New Mexico created the program with his wife Cindy, who wrote and animated the children's book.

Bill is No Bully is a story about a bull that doesn't fit in. The other bulls in the pasture, famous bucking bulls, encourage Bill to be mean. When Bill takes a different path he is met with resistance. The book, written and illustrated by Hedeman's wife Cindy, is part of an anti-bullying presentation that makes use of a live bull to interact with the students. Students from Conroe have been invited to attend the readings and participate in a coloring contest.

The school age children will meet the real "Bill" and hear his message via hall of fame bullfighter, Roach Hedeman, brother of four time World Champion bull rider Tuff Hedeman who is in town this week producing the Conroe Texas Bull Mania sponsored by Demontrond Auto Group and the City of Conroe. The Championship Bull Riding Conroe Texas Bull Mania event takes place at the Lonestar Arena at 8 pm on October 1 and features the top 24 riders on tour including four time World Champion, Sage Steele Kimzey from Strong City, Oklahoma and two former CBR World Champions: Cole Echols, Dodge, Texas and Josh Barentine, Johnson's Bayou, Louisiana.
