Mayor Tomas Regalado Releases Ads in Support of Rosy Palomino

MIAMI - Aug. 4, 2016 - PRLog -- English and Spanish advertisements featuring the voice of city of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado asking voters to join him in supporting Rosy Palomino (#61) in her bid for State House District 112. State Representative Jose Javier Rodriguez announced his run for State Senate District 37 therefore vacating the seat. District 112 is a diverse district representing Central-East Miami-Dade County including most of the City of Miami, East Coral Gables and the Village of Key Biscayne.

In February, Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado announced his support for Rosy Palomino for State House, District 112 saying, "Ms. Palomino is a person with a life dedicated to the needs of our community. She would make a great legislator." The vast majority of State House District 112 is located within the boundaries of the city of Miami.

About Rosy Palomino:

Palomino is a veteran educator and small business owner. She is the president of Tropical Nostalgia Inc. which offers Miami After Dark wines, luxury gifting and locally-branded confections. She has been teaching at Citrus Grove Elementary School in Little Havana for 18 years receiving numerous accolades for her success in the classroom and in creating community partnerships. She participates in a number of neighborhood organizations, including as President of the Douglas Park Neighborhood Association which organizes community involvement in the remediation of Douglas Park.

About State House District 112:

District 112 has a mostly Hispanic demographic, representing the city of Miami, the city of Coral Gables and the village of Key Biscayne.
