Rosy Palomino Wins Primary for State House, District 112

Nearly 1,500 more Republicans voted over Democrats on August 30th.

MIAMI - Sept. 9, 2016 - PRLog -- As of today, Rosy Palomino is the Republican nominee in the upcoming General Election on November 8th for State Representative, District 112. The results of the August 30th Primary election for all state elections were certified by the Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner. Palomino won her Primary Election with 62% of the vote. She faces Nicholas X. Duran, a non-profit executive and first time candidate. Nearly 1,500 Republicans who turned out in the August 30th election indicate that turnout will be especially higher among Republicans in November.

Rosy Palomino thanked her supporters in a message posted to her Facebook page: "Without you this win would not be possible. I want to especially thank Mike Davey, his family and his supporters for running a professional campaign. Our election has produced a greater turnout of Republican voters over Democrat voters - a great sign for winning District 112 in November."

Palomino was supported by city of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado and won the August 30th Primary despite a 6 to 1 financial disadvantage.

Representative Jose Javier Rodriguez, the current two-term Democrat, is vacating the seat in order to run for the State Senate, District 37.
