RUNCORN, U.K. - July 27, 2016 - PRLog -- Levy Restaurants, part of global food services provider Compass Group UK, is in the process of rolling out a significant point-of-sale upgrade.  The organisation is upgrading technology provision across many of its Leisure industry clients; spanning museums, heritage properties, sporting venues and cultural locations.

The chosen software is Symphony from MCR Systems, a solution widely installed across scores of Compass Group clients. MCR's de facto choice of EPoS hardware for its client rollouts remains the Ninô PC-based touchscreen terminal (formerly branded the J2 225) from its long-term partner AURES Technologies.

The aim of the project is to standardise the system that Levy deploys at point-of-sale, explains Jim Wilkinson, MCR's Business Development Director for Sports, Leisure & Hospitality. In some cases the upgrade replaces legacy terminals that had reached end-of-life; in others it represents additional devices or completely new deployments.

"Levy Restaurants' Finance Manager is keen to standardise the ability of the business to manage product and pricing.  Important too is the consistent collection and distribution of data, and the resultant generation of management information, across the business. That's the way to get valuable intelligence and insights from the data collected at point-of-sale," he observes.

The availability of the two solutions - Symphony Enterprise and SymPOS - represents a significant upgrade in functionality.  A spokesperson for Levy Restaurants says: "This technology is far more powerful than what we had before.  We expect to see gains in service speed, easier staff training and improved customer engagement."

Some rollouts are for clients won in 2016, such as Imperial War Museum Duxford, Churchill War Rooms and HMS Belfast.  However, the majority are taking place at existing Levy Restaurant locations including:

·         Bristol Museum & Art Gallery

·         Bristol Zoo / Wildplace

·         Edinburgh Zoo

·         Edgbaston Priory

·         Hatfield House

·         Hever Castle

·         Imperial War Museum North (Manchester)

·         M Shed Bristol

·         Museum of Science & Industry (Manchester)

·         National Media Museum (Bradford)

·         National Railway Museum (York)

·         Penshurst Place

·         Salisbury Cathedral

·         Weston Park

Concludes Jim Wilkinson: "Organisations such as Levy Restaurants increasingly look for real Business Intelligence to influence staff behaviour and enhance customer engagement.  The evolution of EPoS has influenced this, making it possible to generate real Business Insight."

About Ninô

Ninô is a one of the world's smallest and smartest integrated touchscreen POS terminals. Ninô is the ideal companion for retail outlets and F & B environments ranging from quick-serve to fine-dining, bars and clubs. Robust construction and convection-cooled fanless operation equip Ninô to cope in the harshest environments, unaffected by high temperatures, grease, dust or sea air.

A unique swing arm delivers adjustable heights and viewing angles from flat up to 90°, perfect for environments that require unobtrusive POS. Counter-top-, wall- or pole-mounting are also possible, adding to Ninô's versatility and flexibility. The neat 14" LED-backlit touchscreen (16:9 wide aspect) displays more on-screen data with exceptional clarity and can be True Flat Resistive (TFR) or Projected Capacitive Touch (PCT) for multi-touch and gesturing.

Ninô utilises the latest Intel Atom Dual-Core Cedarview processor, combined with the Intel NM10 chipset to provide higher speeds using less power, together with 2 to 4GB of memory and a hard drive (HDD) or optional Solid State drive (SSD) in a wide range of capacities.
