Collabion Now Available In Two Power Packed Versions To Suit The Needs Of Business Users

KOLKATA, India - July 20, 2016 - PRLog -- Collabion Charts for SharePoint (CCSP), one of the leading SharePoint charting solutions, recently launched version 2.3.0.0 of the software, which comes in two different packages, each packed with useful features to address users' charting needs. The free-for-life package does not include features like advanced data grouping and multi-level drill down, but is free to use forever. The other package, which requires users to go for an annual subscription, includes plenty of features for advanced data manipulation.Here's a lowdown on the features of both these versions.

1.   Seamless connectivity to a large variety of data sources like SharePoint lists, database files from SQL Server/Oracle, Microsoft Excel workbooks, BDC, and CSV files. It can connect to many more via ODBC connectivity, as well.

3.   Both free and pro versions of CCSP 2.3.0.0 offers out of the box support for SharePoint 2016. Previous versions of SharePoint, like SP 2010, SP 2013, MOSS 2007, and WSS 3.0 are also supported, as are the different versions of Microsoft Excel.

4.       Extraction of proper data is essential for data visualization. Both the free and pro versions of CCSP 2.3.0.0 let users apply various data filters through user-friendly wizards, ensuring they can always use clean data sources containing only the necessary values and variables. 5.   CCSP 2.3.0.0 makes it easy for users to group data based on user-defined criteria. The free version supports the aggregate functions SUM and COUNT, while the pro version also lets the user run the aggregate functions of AVERAGE, MIN, and MAX. Applying these functions to the data source once the chart has been built also updates the chart, on the fly.

6.   In the previous versions of CCSP, users had the option to connect it with SQL Server in either of two methods – Windows Authentication, or SQL Authentication. The latest version of CCSP (2.3.0.0), however, also supports Domain Authentication, simplifying the connection process to a great extent.

7.   Performing multi-level drill downs on the data source once the chart has been created allows the user to dig deeper into the data, which goes up to the n-th level in the pro version. This allows the user to extract insights from the data and also get the updated chart instantly.

8.       In case the user needs to just display the first n number/percentage of records from a table, the Top n Function allows the user to do that with just one command.

9.  CCSP 2.3.0.0 allows the user to export any chart in the form of Microsoft Excel workbooks, Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, image files like JPG and PNG, as well as PDF. The charts can also be printed directly through CCSP.
