Five Rivers Publishing to Release Revised Edition of Canadian Police Heroes on May 1, 2016

ORANGEVILLE, Ontario - Jan. 29, 2016 - PRLog -- Orangeville, ON, January 29, 2015: Five Rivers Publishing will release Orangeville author Dorothy Pedersen’s revised edition of Canadian Police Heroes on May 1, 2016.  This edition contains additional content and updated information of featured police officers.

Canadian Police Heroes showcases the brighter side of the law. When asked about inspiration for writing Canadian Police Heroes, Pedersen mentions “police officers” are often “publicized for poor conduct”. However, in Pedersen’s experience policemen are good people. Pedersen shares a recollection of a local policeman 'Munroe'  in her childhood who never ignored her and helped her cross the street safely whenever she needed. Fueled by that memory and the belief there are excellent role models in our police force, Pedersen went looking. This search led to stories of bravery, humble heroism, and selfless dedication. Canadian Police Heroes is the compilation of those stories where heroes are the people sworn to protect and serve. This book will introduce its readers to modern day heroes placing their lives on the line while fulfilling their duties to protect and serve.
