Flying Finn Set for The Big Time After Stunning Performances

Nov. 21, 2015 - PRLog -- Formula One fans across the UAE are in for a special treat, when the young Finnish rising star from WILLIAMS MARTINI RACING, Valtteri Bottas stops by for an exclusive meeting with select invitees and representatives from the audio-visual, digital and print media, at the Yas Viceroy Hotel in Abu Dhabi on November 25^th.

The interactive evening with Bottas, who is regarded as one of the most-promising talents by both racetrack enthusiasts and experts alike, is being hosted by Oris, maker of fine Swiss watches, for whom the dynamic Finn is Brand Ambassador.

Bottas’s motor racing career began early - he was just six years old when he first stepped into a go-kart and over the next 11 years he won numerous championships in his homeland and Europe.

He made the jump into racing cars in 2007, coming third in his debut season in the Formula Renault 2.0 North European Cup. The following year Bottas dominated the same series and also scooped the Eurocup title, finishing the season with the enviable record of 17 wins from 28 starts.

Graduating to the F3 Euro Series, Bottas turned in a series of eye-catching performances to eventually earn a test driver's slot with the Williams team. Winnng a place as a regular driver on the Williams squad, Bottas impressed one and all with his mastery of the tracks, skill and judgement.

Williams tied up with Mercedes and returned to the podium in 2014, where Bottas secured four podium finishes while finishing fourth in the Drivers‘ Championship, 50 points ahead of teammate and more experienced Felipe Massa,
