ARLINGTON, Va. - Oct. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Arlington, Va.: Sebesta (http://www.sebesta.com/), which provides building engineering services throughout the U.S., announces their new location in Arlington, Va.

The firm moved from an address on Crystal Drive to 251 18th St. South. “Our new office, although in the same neighborhood, provides significant benefits for the region and company, particularly in meeting current and projected staffing needs and in providing a great location for clients,” says Brad Bowman, Sebesta Vice President, Regional Business Unit Leader. The building is part of a transit-oriented development, adjacent to the Crystal City Metro station. Strategically located directly above the Crystal City Metro station and commuter bus line hub, 251 18th St. offers unparalleled access to mass transit. This building also offers quick access to the Virginia Railway Express (VRE), Route 1, and key interstates and highways.

The design of the new office was developed using inspiration from Design Lab, an architectural competition held in the building last year. Vornado/Charles E. Smith invited six architectural firms to design six different suites on a single floor. Their directive was to create the office of the future—and complete it within a reasonable budget. The six workspaces are connected by a high-sensory, collaborative community core.

“The use of glass walls and doors, along with abundant natural light, makes Sebesta’s space feel open,” says Bowman. “Showcase features of the new office include an entry with wood-plank walls, a state-of-the-art conference room, and a kitchen with a view of Crystal City, including the control tower at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.”

The space has been submitted for a LEED® for Commercial Interiors (LEED-CI) designation through the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). According to USGBC, LEED-CI is the industry benchmark for green design and construction of tenant improvements. It confirms that tenants and design teams have created a healthy, productive and efficient work environment.

Sebesta is a nationally-recognized provider of full-service engineering, energy performance, and commissioning sustainability services. The Arlington office will continue to provide their expertise to a variety of clients throughout Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
