Madison-based startup GrocerKey Has Graduated from Business Accelerator to Its Own Space

MADISON, Wis. - Oct. 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Cresa Madison, a commercial tenant and buyer brokerage firm, represented GrocerKey in a relocation from their current office space in Gener8tor to the top floor of the Churchill Building on Madison's Capitol Square.  GrocerKey will occupy their space at 16 N. Carroll Street on November 1st.

GrocerKey, a Madison based start-up that just recently 'graduated' from Gener8tor's winter accelerator program, was founded by Jeremy Neren, a St. Paul Minnesota native and University of Wisconsin graduate.  The software company is an e-commerce grocery platform that acts as a white label end-to-end technology solution for grocery and convenience stores.  Recently GrocerKey partnered with Woodman's Markets to launch an online store that will allow customers to shop for groceries with a click of a button and have them delivered the same day.  The stores will also benefit from the technology by being able to control the customer experience and gather valuable data about buying and shopping habits.

"GrocerKey's need to expand out of Gener8tor and relocate within Madison is a great example of how Madison's start-up ecosystem has become the go-to place for entrepreneurs to grow their businesses," stated Kevin Anderson, Vice President of Cresa Madison.  "Jeremy Neren and his team have developed a technology that will revolutionize the online grocery store experience and we are excited to see what the future holds."

Cresa Madison was engaged by GrocerKey in early 2015 to assist in identifying and securing office space that would help develop their own culture while ramping up for growth after receiving a $690,000 seed round of equity.  "Cresa worked tirelessly to find an office that fit our needs," GrocerKey's CEO Neren said.  "Given our requirements, there weren't very many options.  Despite that, Cresa was able to find a space that's a perfect fit."

"Many companies, regardless of age, don't have the time or market knowledge necessary to go out on their own to find a suitable office space that fits their company's individual requirements," Anderson of Cresa said. "Our job is to take the laboring oar on this process, negotiate against various landlords for the best possible deal and ensure that the lease terms are in line with our client's business goals."

GrocerKey currently has eight full time employees and plans to increase their staff exponentially over the next three years.  They hope to raise their Series A funding round in early 2016 and partner with various other grocery chains in the coming months.
