Tangram Fury Parks & Sites Puzzle Book Has Launched

CEDAR HILLS, Utah - Sept. 14, 2015 - PRLog -- Peepsock Press announced today the tenth in the line of themed Tangram Fury tangram puzzle books, the “Tangram Fury Parks & Sites Book”.  A tangram is a 7-piece ancient Chinese puzzle whose pieces initially form a square, but can be rearranged to form 1000’s of other intriguing shapes.  This new book is intended for those puzzle-enthusiasts who enjoy solving tangrams.  These printed books have paperback covers, are 9”x6” in size, and have 133 pages.

“The Tangram Fury Parks & Sites Book” is dedicated to the famous sites, places, and people that one might find while touring or vacationing.  It also includes tribute puzzles to outdoor activities, such as camping or hiking.

“When I’ve taken my kids on trips to visit historic sites, they love to go into the souvenir shops and pick up a little something to remember the site,” Doug Nufer, designer of the tangram puzzles and author of the Tangram Fury Parks & Sites Book said.  “They like fun things, and I’m good with that, but it’s also nice when that thing is also educational.  These books fit both of those criteria.  And, the kids can puzzle with them in the car as we drive.”

“The puzzles in this book start off with some tangrammed places like Europe and the US, then move onto other sites, such as the Liberty Bell and Statue of Liberty,” Doug added.  “They aren’t all US centric.  There’s a tangram of the Louvre and Eiffel Tower in Paris, some of Vikings, and even some mythical figures such as Bigfoot.”

In addition to information regarding the origin and fundamentals of tangrams, the Tangram Fury Parks & Sites Book includes many puzzles to solve.  As with the other Tangram Fury Puzzle Books, this book includes a pattern of a tangram to use for solving the puzzles.

The main section of the book is followed by a bonus section that includes cards for a tangram matching game.  Each book in the series includes a set of cut-and-play cards that can be combined with those of the other books to create an expanding deck of cards.  The cards are also arranged in the book such that they could be photocopied onto colored paper and used with the original Tangram Fury competitive puzzle game.
